WHAT:
Beach2Beach Charity Run – Volunteer Support

WHEN:
Activity Start - Sunday 23 August 2026, 5:15 am
Activity Finish - Approximately 8:15 am

COST:
No cost. Participation helps raise funds for the Venturer Unit through a volunteer donation from the event organisers.

WHERE:
Dee Why Surf Life Saving Club (SLSC) and Ted Jackson Reserve, Dee Why

WHO:
Manly Fairlight Venturers
Parents/Guardians are also welcome to volunteer.

DUTY PATROL:
N/A

ACTIVITY:
Venturers will volunteer at the Beach2Beach Charity Run and may assist with:

• Drinks station support
• Bag Drop
• Course marshalling
• Other suitable volunteer duties as directed by Beach2Beach event organisers

Dee Why is one of the main event hubs, with race activities, presentations and warm-ups occurring around Dee Why SLSC.

SAFETY:

• Venturers will be supervised by Scout Leaders and/or approved adult volunteers in accordance with Scouts NSW requirements.
• Activities will take place within the designated Beach2Beach event area around Dee Why SLSC and Ted Jackson Reserve.
• Venturers may be allocated to different volunteer duties within the event area.
• Venturers must follow instructions from Scout Leaders and event organisers.
• Normal Scout behaviour and safety expectations apply throughout the activity.

WHAT TO WEAR:

• Full Scout uniform
• Suitable enclosed shoes

WHAT TO BRING:

• Water bottle

OTHER:

• Drop-off: 5:15 am near Dee Why Surf Life Saving Club.
• Pick-up: Approximately 8:15 am near Dee Why Surf Life Saving Club.
• Snacks will be provided.
• Participation supports a fundraising donation to the Venturer Unit.
• Parent/Guardian permission is required.
